# Create React Native Module

pnpx create-react-native-library\@latest PACKAGE\_NAME

* `Turbo module`
* `Kotlin & Objective-C`
* `App with Expo CLI`
* \[`Eslint with Prettier`, `Jest`]

## Remove all yarn related stuff

* If you are using npm or pnpm, search for `yarn` keyword
  * Remove all yarn related files and configurations
  * Incrementally add stuff later on if needed

## Remove all unnecessary stuff

Some of the stuff are bloated and not needed for a simple module

* We can always add them back later on if needed

Remove list:

* `.github`
* `.editorconfig`
* `workspaces` from `package.json`
* `prettier` from `package.json`
* Remove `nodeLinker: hoisted` from `pnpm-workspace.yaml` if you are using pnpm
  * `pnpx create-react-native-library@latest PACKAGE_NAME` command will accidentally add this back every single time

## Fix Eslint file

* Use `@react-native/eslint-config/flat`

## Install dependencies

* `pnpm add -D prettier`

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://the-sheet.gitbook.io/the-sheet-v2/docs/resources/create-react-native-module.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
